BJP State President & MLA Sat Sharma, in his concluding address at State Working Committee Meeting at Doda, stressed on devoting more time on work and less on gossip and said that every activist has to adopt three mantras – Jan Dhan, Van Dhan and Jan Dhan. He said that regular touring takes the party more closer to the people and develops leadership. He said that PM Narendra Modi has told the party activists time and again that post is not important but it is the responsibility showered upon a party activist which matters and dedication is imperative to come upto the expectations linked with the said responsibility.
Sat Sharma said that the youth constitute 65% of the population and their services should be utilized for achieving the desired results in different fields, particularly in highlighting the people friendly programme and scheme of PM Narendra Modi government.
Sat Sharma further said that holding of Working Committee Meetings at regular intervals provide an opportunity to the prominent activists the party to get updated with the new developments in the political field as well as acquaint them with the programmes and policies of the Governments at the Centre and in the State.
Dr Jitendra Singh while addressing the Meeting, said that the opposition parties had been accusing BJP of polarizing politics and misled the people but after Narendra Modi becoming PM, its definition has changed now. Today, BJP has reached more people in length and breadth of the country as people have realized that Congress and other parties only misled them but did not have concern for development in real sense.
Dr Jitendra Singh said that the tall leaders of Congress, who claims themselves as leaders of Doda, Bhaderwah, Kishtwar and other areas, failed to fulfil needs related to development of the belt. The works undertaken in the current three years in Doda and elsewhere have made the people to question Congress as to what its leaders have done in last six decades.
“The Union Government is very liberal in granting record funds for development in J&K”, Dr Jitendra said and expressed concern over accidents on Doda – Kishtwar road and assured to approach Union Roads and Transport Ministry for development of better road connectivity in the area.
“Provision of rupees 2600 Crores under PMGSY for J&K, setting up of Passport Office, establishment of Radio Station and providing rupees 170 Crores for Devak in Udhampur, Skill Development Projects, Shahpur Kandi Project, Reforms in Civil Services, GST, BHIM App, change in selection procedure for National Awards, providing Financial Assistance through Direct Benefit Transfer to POJK DPs”, are few projects for J&K from Union Government said Dr Singh and declared that a community hall to be constructed from his MP Fund in Udrana village will be dedicated to BJP’s Former State President Daya Krishan Kotwal.
BJP State General Secretary (Org.) Ashok Koul shared the details related to the two days visit of BJP National President Amit Shah and spoke on different programmes and events in this regard. He announced that the next Working Committee Meeting will be held on July 30 in Rajouri District.
MLC Ashok Khajuria said that BJP is a Cadre based Party and every activists has a responsibility to work towards educating the people about the false and misinformation campaign of opposition party. He also spoke on the lives of brave Martyrs of erstwhile Doda district.
The Working Committee Meeting also adopted a political resolution, which was tabled by State Spokesperson Arun Gupta and seconded by MoS Education Priya Sethi.
MLA Doda Shakti Parihar delivered vote of thanks to the Working Committee Members for travelling from far off areas to attend the meet.
The meeting was attended by State Office Bearers, Ministers, MLAs, MLCs, District Presidents, Morcha State Presidents, Cells and Morcha Incharges.
