BJP State President & MLA Sat Sharma (C.A), alongwith former Dy. CM & MLA Dr. Nirmal Singh, State General Secretary (Org.) Ashok Kaul and MLC Ashok Khajuria, chaired an introductory meeting of party’s newly nominated State Office Bearers as well as elected/nominated District Presidents, District General Secretaries and Mandal Presidents.
The party activists were introduced in the meeting by State President. It was also attended by party MLAs and MLCs.
Sat Sharma, while congratulating the new office bearers, said that each one of them have a special place in the matters of BJP as they are going to act as a bridge between the public and the party. He said that different responsibilities have been given to the activists at state, district and mandal levels and the party expects of them to work wholeheartedly to further strengthen the party and devote more time to highlight the achievements of the Narendra Modi led NDA government and those of the previous PDP-BJP coalition in the state.
Dr. Nirmal Singh said that the party has once again displayed its tradition of maintaining healthy democracy within organization and it is indeed the only political party which provides equal opportunity to its party activists at all the levels to get elected at the highest post.
“BJP is not a dynastic party and there are vast opportunities for even a booth level activist”, Dr. Singh said and added that the new nominees have to reach the masses and educate them about what the BJP did during its 10 month coalition for the development and welfare. He said that our government worked on fulfilling the promises made to the people without compromising on the interests of Jammu.
Ashok Kaul said that the party activists who have been bestowed with new responsibilities need to work with team spirit and deliver justice with their task. He said that the challenges are to be faced and conquered with the active support and cooperation each and every activists of the party. He also briefed the meeting about his touring of different constituencies in connection with organizational activities.
Ashok Khajuria said that whatever responsibility has been given to the party activists should be taken seriously and united efforts be made to defeat all such forces which pose threat to the unity and integrity of the state besides reaching the masses to educate them about the principles and ideology of the party.
