Leaving no area behind concerning development in his Assembly segment, State President BJP and MLA Jammu West Sat Sharma (CA) visited Dogra Shaurya Samarak, Ambphalla where he paid his respects to the martyrs and also started up gradation works of the Shaurya Smarak Park. He was also accompanied by a large number of people including officials of JMC (Jammu Municipal Corporation), UEED, local residents, social activists and political activists of the area.
The works will be taken up under the supervision of JMC and the works include repair and renovation of hall inside the premises of the park and other works adding beautification to the park as well.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that this very place is one of the signs of “Dogra Sanskriti” in our State and it becomes our moral responsibility as well to keep such places safe in terms of their development.
He said that proper maintenance was not being done, so keeping in view that aspect and also protecting the culture of Dogras in the State, this major step is taken up in order to provide best possible assistance.
He also appreciated the efforts of the Municipal Corporation who is executing the works in the premises of Dogra Shaurya Smarak and also lauded the efforts of Committee of Shaurya Smarak for playing a major role in protecting one of the oldest heritage sites of Jammu.
