Sat Sharma kickstarts developmental works at Ward 39

Coping with the demands of each and every area of Jammu West, State President BJP and MLA Sat Sharma (CA) visited Ward 39 of the Assembly segment and kickstarted the works for construction/repairs of Lanes at Vikas Nagar and Patoli Chowk area of the Constituency. Accompanied by a large number of people, Sharma started the works in the presence of JMC (Jammu Municipal Corporation) officials, local residents and political activists of the area.

The works will be done at Sector 3 Vikas Nagar area and Lane Number 3 at Patoli Chowk where the works of ERA (Economic Reconstruction Agency) were taken up and the condition of those lanes deteriorated due to digging up the lanes. Both the works will be done under the supervision of JMC at an estimated cost of around Rupees 7 lakhs.

Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that the work of lane which has been started at Vikas Nagar is a long stretch which starts from Vikas Nagar and ends at Subash Nagar and other lane at Patoli Chowk were dug by the ERA agencies in order to take up the sewerage works in the area but due to the non compliance with the further works by ERA, these works had to be taken up as people were suffering from major problems in their areas and lack of basic amenities was found in both the areas.

He said construction of these lanes will definitely help the locals a lot and it will be seen that every possible facility is provided to them at their door steps. He said that it is his priority to cover each and every nook and corner of the Constituency with the aspect of development and it will be seen that in coming days wherever the works of ERA have worsened the condition of lanes/roads, those works will be taken on priority so that cleanliness prevails everywhere in Jammu West Assembly segment.

He also appealed the masses as well to come forward and promote the noble cause of Prime Minister’s “SWACHH BHARAT ABHIYAAN” so that a clean and green nation could be built and he also asked the masses to spare some time weekly or monthly to clean their surroundings.
