Senior officials of Jammu & Kashmir Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes & Backward Classes Development Corporation Limited, during their meeting with the Vice-Chairperson, Balbir Ram Rattan, briefed him about the status of fresh loan cases in different districts of Jammu province.
Divisional Manager, Ghulam Qadir Khatana, along with Manager Projects, Mohammed Iqbal Kataria and Jammu District Manager, Joginder Paul Atri, informed the Vice-Chairperson that unemployed males and females belonging to reserved categories have submitted loan applications in their respective district offices of the Corporation and the interviews in Jammu, Samba, Kathua, Udhampur, Reasi , Rajouri, Doda and Kishtwar districts have been conducted. The loan applicants have been asked to submit the required formalities so that the complete cases are prepared to be forwarded to the Head Office for sanction and disbursement of the loan.
Balbir Ram Rattan, while speaking in the meeting, asked the officials to conduct the interviews of the remaining districts of Poonch and Ramban at the earliest. He said that there should be no delay in processing the cases of the applicants.
The Vice Chairperson stressed upon these officials to educate the unemployed people of the Target Groups and guide them to avail the benefits of various welfare schemes of the government at the centre and in the State. “The prime objective of these schemes is socio-economic upliftment of the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Backward Classes, Physically Disabled Persons, members of the Minorities Notified at the National Level and Safai Karamcharis”, Balbir said and added that Corporation officials should take these schemes to the remote and flung areas of the state. He also asked them to highlight the Education Loan scheme under which the meritorious students of weaker sections can get financial assistance to study within and outside the country.
