The announcement coming from CM Mehbooba Mufti for introduction of Punjabi language alongwith Dogra, Kashmiri and others in school and colleges has been welcomed by Sikh community across state and outside.
The Sikh leaders and others of state BJP in a meeting chaired by BJP State Spokesperson S.S. Bijral (Retd. IGP) heartily thanked the BJP-PDP coalition government headed by CM Mebhooba Mufti for correcting wrong done earlier. They recalled that when government in an earlier decision left out Punjabi from school and colleges it left Sikh community, a peaceful and strongly nationalist, protesting.
Recalling that this decision of government correcting the earlier wrong is result of timely intervention of BJP National Vice-President & J&K Prabhari Avinash Rai Khanna, State President & MLA Sat Sharma and Dy. Chief Minister Dr. Nirmal Singh, who took the matter in person with the CM. They expressed their gratitude to the party leaders for their laudable leadership of masses.
