State Bharatiya Janata Party has welcomed the formation of coalition government of BJP and PDP in Jammu and Kashmir state. In a press release, BJP State Chief Spokesperson Sunil Sethi said that it is honour for the state to have first woman Chief Minister, which will motivate more women participation in politics of the state. It is again honour for BJP to be in coalition government with woman leader as head.
Sunil Sethi also noted that BJP has always projected and provided for progress avenues to women power (Matra Shakti ) as society can’t progress and usher in new era of development without their empowerment. He further exhibited the hope that new dispensation will continue the good work initiated and done by previous dispensation of PDP – BJP alliance under able and inspiring leadership of late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed. In short time of about 10 months, the government could bring perceptible change on ground with all round development.
He further said that inheritance of legacy of Late Mufti Sahib, by young Chief Minister designate, will come with load of expectations of the people. As Chief Minister of J&K, Mehbooba Mufti will be under tremendous pressure of expectations of the masses, who would always like to see Mufti Sahib in her. New dispensation has to perform exceedingly well to come to expectations and high hopes of the masses . Legacy of Late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed is too big to be emulated but efforts has to be made to do justice to legacy of late visionary and carry on the good works initiated by him .
Sunil Sethi further asked the leadership of both parties to provide responsive governance to the state which can respond to the needs and expectations of the masses and justify the confidence reposed on the continued alliance by Prime Minister Narinder Modi. While central government is on record to have ensured continuous flow of funds for development, it will be duty of the new government to ensure that each penny of central funds reaches the person for whom it is meant.
Sethi assured full support to the new government on behalf of Bharatiya Janata Party and reiterated the resolve to stand by agenda of alliance between the parties which is basic document of governance between both of them. He further said that as partners in governance, it will be expected from each partner to work not only for growth of their respective parties but also for partner.
