Vibodh Holds Public Darbar to Discuss Urgent Issues With Prominent Citizens
Directs Officers to Address the Immediate Problems of Common Man
Senior BJP leader and MLC Vibodh Gupta today held a public darbar at Town Hall Rajouri. During the meeting the senior officials of PHE, PDD and RajouriMuncipality were also present. This darbar was organized to discuss various issues of common man. During this darbar the proceedings were conducted by Sh. Rajinder Gupta Ex. President of RajouriMuncipality. The prominent citizens including Vijay Gupta, K K Langer, Nirman Singh, Bashir Bhat, IshtiaqBhat, RagubhirSaraf, Omkar Gupta and BadriNath spoke about various problems specially with regard to electricity, water and problems related to RajouriMuncipality. The speakers said that the lanes and drains of Rajouri or in a bad shape. Many speakers highlighted the problems of electricity and said that due to regular unscheduled cuts in addition to scheduled cuts their business is suffering a lot. During the meeting the local residents also raised the issue of damaged PHE pipes and said that as a result of this they are getting unhigenic water supply.
Addressing the gathering MLC Vibodh Gupta said that he is well aware about various issues of Rajouri town and this is the main reason that he is organizing such type of forums were common man can directly raise their issues and problems with the concerned officials. He informed the gathering that during the coming visit of Hon’ble CM Ms. Mehbooba Mufti on 3 May 2016 he will raise these issues. He said that he is trying his level best to ensure that there are no unscheduled electricity cuts and infact the time of scheduled cuts also needs to be reduced. He also informed that gathering that the proposed 7.5 crore LIC supported water supply project once implemented will greatly reduce the water problem of Rajouri town. Regarding the lanes and drains of Rajouri town Vibodh informed that some works have recently been initiated to address this problem however a lot more needs to be done to make Rajouri a neat and clean city. He hoped that the facelifting of Rajouri town will also attract more and more tourists towards this area. He directed the concerned officials of PHE, PDD and Rajouri municipality to immediately address the concerns and burning problems of Local people. Latter the prominent citizens of Rajouri thanked MLC Vibodh Gupta for organizing such a public darbar which will go a long way towards mitigating immediate problems of a common man.
