Ashok Koul addresses gathering at Budgam, says triple-Talaq judgment major relief to women across India
State General Secretary (Organisation) BJP, Ashok Koul addressed a rally at Shonglipora, in Budgam district where in thousands of BJP workers including women and youth participated.
Koul while addressing the gathering said that BJP is a party which is working for the upliftment of all the people irrespective of their religion, cast, creed, as the party’s sole agenda is development and betterment of people of all the segments.
Koul said the grievances of people of Budgam district will be prioritized and all the BJP ministers and MLCs will be apprised of the genuine concerns of people of this central district of Kashmir. Koul assured all the people in the gathering that the redressal of their problems will be done on the war footing.
Koul gave a patient hearing to the people and listened their problems one by one. On the triple talaq judgement by the Supreme Court, Koul said the verdict has come as a major relief to the Muslims women of country. He also said that the judgment gives equal rights to women and treats them at par with their male counter parts. Koul said the judgment is also applicable to women of J&K and they too will feel secure under it.
Meanwhile, speaking on the occasion State vice-president J&K Yudvir Sethi said BJP is committed to its idea of sab ka saath, sab ka vikas. He said Kashmir will remain part of Prime Minister Narendera Modis campaign of Make in India, Made in India. He said that BJPs central leadership and state leaders are committed towards the welfare of J&K’s youth and would make Kashmiri youth part of every campaign aimed at exposing the talent of Valley’s talented youth.
He said BJPs sole agenda in Kashmir is to ensure development on all fronts and to make the J&K state at par with the rest of Indian states. Present on the occasion were Distt.
