BJP State Vice President Yudhvir Sethi conducted an extensive tour of Peerkho and other low lying areas of old city and took stock of situation developed due to incessant rains.
He was accompanied by officials of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) whom he said to clear all blockades due to which lanes and drains were flooded.
Yudhvir Sethi also visited those at Peerkho Akhara which were flooded with water and assure them all possible help. He also asked JMC officials to make a note of causes that resulted in floods and asserted that once rains recede begin work to plug all those gaps on war footings so that people stay safe. He took stock of lanes and drains that were blocked due to filth.
He also said them to put in place all protection works so that park developed at Peerkho for the convenience of commoners stays protected. Expressing his concern over dilapidated roads, lanes and drains the visiting BJP leader said that government was ceased of situation and doing everything to keep people and livestock safe.
While listening to grievances of people, Yudhvir Sethi said that primarily government wants to keep water and electricity supply intact so that people don’t suffer. During his tour of other low lying areas of Old Jammu city, he took first hand stock of issues confronting people and asked officials of PDD, JMC, PHE and health to ensure that all minimum basic facilities are provided uninterrupted during this time when weather is incliment so that people don’t face inconvenience.
