The local health institution has witnessed several positive developments since Dr.Gagan Bhagat had been elected as Legislator from R.S Pura, it is pertinent to mention here that Dr. Gagan Bhagat was a Medical Officer in the same institution and knows very well the shortcomings of the CHC R.S Pura, dedicated power feeder (24 hours light),and sanctioning Blood bank are the previous important developmental achievements of MLA R.S Pura.Various social, religious organization, heads of various business establishments, prominent citizens and several political parties cutting across party lines have appreciated the sincere efforts of Dr.Gagan Bhagat.While talking to the Media persons Dr.Gagan Bhagat said that the Critical Care Ambulance and the Automatic Blood Analyser will help the serious patients in this border hospital, the ambulance will save many life as there are many cases in which the patient died on the way to G.M.C Jammu due to lack of critical care ambulance facility, the ambulance will cost between 10 to 12 lakhs and the Blood testing Analyser between 6 to 8 lakhs, and the same has been sanctioned under the B.A.D.P , the previous govt. had used the B.A.D.P funds for maximum construction of lanes and drains in which there is a chance of corruption, now the funds which are provided by the Union Govt. for the betterment of the people living in the border area will be utilized in a better and efficient way so that these people living on border get the basic facilities especially in the health sector. Dr. Gagan Bhagat further said that the medicines and other diagnostic facility at the C.H.C R.S Pura hospital will be available to the general people and has asked to contact him or his office if the staff refused for the same, he added that the govt. is very soon bringing the Free Drug Policy for the people of Jammu & Kashmir, which will be a historical gift especially to the poor people.Talking abouty the 50 bedded hospital Dr.Gagan Bhagat said that the hospital will be opened for the general public before 31st December this year, and he has been continuously monitoring the pace of work in the said hospital himself.
