Sat Sharma CA MLA & President BJP has strongly condemned the loss of four human lives in Handwara. While expressing his grief and sympathies with the bereaved families he said that no amount of compensation is adequate for loss of human lives. In a press release issued by the Party Sat Sharma said, “It is a matter of great concern that some anti-national elements are desperately trying to create trouble in the Valley before the onset of the tourist season. These elements also want to malign the Indian Army which along with other security forces is doing a yeoman’s service in the Valley. By falsely implicating the Army personnel in an alleged rape case they are trying to attack the morale of army men. The matter needs to be thoroughly and speedily investigated and the culprits brought to book at the earliest. Justice should be delivered to all.”
Sat Sharma complimented the Defence Minister and the Northern Army Commander for the promptness shown by them in ordering a probe and promise of strictest action against the defaulters, if any. He said, “It is evident from the statement of the girl that two local boys were involved in the heinous crime. They should be arrested immediately and brought before the law as they were the “Trigger” for the entire episode leading to the unfortunate loss of lives.” Sat also was critical of a former Chief Minister of the State who rather than trying to cool down the tempers is adding fuel to the fire through his tweets. He appealed to him that the need of the hour is to act in unison to bring relief to the people of the State so that they can reap the benefits of development. All anti-national elements must be dealt with firmly, he said.
