MLA R.S Pura & Political Advisor to State BJP President Dr.Gagan Bhagat along with State General Secretary Bharatiya Janata Party Dr.Narinder Singh along with other party workers and people from social and religious circles paid tributes to Dr.Bhimrao Ambedkar who was commonly known as “Babasahib” on his 125th birth anniversary.Two separate programs were organized by Bhartiya Janta Party at R.S Pura and Miran Sahib Mandals falling under the R.S Pura Constituency.At R.S Pura under the president ship of Mandal Pradhan Natharam the tributes were paid at a largely attended function at the Talli Morh near B.S.F Campus R.S Pura where Dr.Gagan Bhagat and other senior party dignitaries talked in detail about the contribution of Dr.B.R Ambedkar to the society and to the nation. At Miran Sahib Mandal the function was organized at Village Gazipur Kullian under the President ship of Mandal Pradhan Devinder Sharma ,Dr.Gagan Bhagat , Dr.Narinder Singh Raina and other party workers paid tributes to Babasahib.Dr.Gagan Bhagat said that from the 14th April to 24th April the party will celebrate as “Gramouday se Bharatuday Abhiyaan” in which social reforms, strengthening of Panchayati system, development of villages and farmers , and it has been started from the two mandals of R.S Pura Constituency. Speaking about the contribution of Babasahib Dr.Gagan Bhagat said that due to the efforts of Babasahib B.R Ambedkar our country has criminalized the practice of untouchability , and it is the only country which has done so, and he also at that time advocated the role of females in the development of society, and he devoted his life for promoting the principle of “ Educate, Organize and Agitate” , which we need to follow. Dr B R Ambedkar’s greatness cannot be reduced to any one particular accomplishment, because all were equally extraordinary. His faith in democracy, which he shared with the stalwarts of the freedom movement, is also one of his proud legacies to our country.Dr B R Ambedkar saw in the institution of Indian democracy that he helped to create, the best guarantee for the future development and welfare of his own people, the oppressed and marginalized of India. As a political leader, Dr B R Ambedkar was able to articulate powerful ideas. The Indian Constitution of which he was the principal author remains the best instrument for pursuing them.He also praiswed Prime Minister Sh. Narender Modi for starting a program focusing the rural polulation as till date no political group in true spirit has thought for the upliftment of rural community, and the resent Union govt. has gifted the farmers with “Pradahan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojna,Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojna, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Suraksha Yojna” and many more to follow in the coming times.Prominent among those who were present included Karan Bhagat, Brijesh Singh, City President Inder Sudan ,Dv.
