An impressive programme was organised by the Card and Boxes Dealers Association of Jammu to felicitate the Jammu East MLA Rajesh Gupta.
Card and Boxes Dealers Association are in the business of serving the general public at the time of marriages and other auspicious occasion by way of invitation cards and sweets boxes of different styles and patterns.The industry employs about ten thousand workers who earn their livelihood through this trade.
Rajesh Gupta along with a large number of party workers participated in the function.Upon arrival the MLA was felicitated with bouquets and a shawl was also presented by the senior leader of the association Surinder Mohan Anand.
The general secretary of the association Hardeep Singh in his address eulogised the role played by the honourable MLA in saving the industry and the jobs of thousands of workers from uncertain conditions.President Jatin Arora said that it was due to the personal intervention of the MLA that the Card and Boxes industry got a big boost.Treasurar Vipul Sharma thanked the MLA for his positive intervention at the right time.
Rajesh Gupta while speaking on the occasion said that our traditions and sanskars are sacrosanct and we must follow them.He said that cards and Boxes are an essential part of all the auspicious occasions and are a part and parcel of our socio cultural milieu.Rajesh Gupta said that it is our duty to protect the jobs of hard working people and also look for further improvement in the business scenario of the industry.
