BJP State Secretary & Jammu Rural District Prabhari Aseem Gupta, alongwith District President Omi Khajuria, chaired a meeting of the district office bearers, BJP Mandal, OBC and Kissan Morcha District Presidents.
The meeting was convened to discuss the extension of recently constituted Department and Projects to the level of District and Mandals.
Aseem Gupta, while addressing the meeting, said that the BJP has decided to reach the people and get associated with it ten to fifty new persons at each booth with an objective of further strengthening the party at the lowest level and avail their services for highlighting the pro-people and pro-development works of the BJP led government under Narendra Modi at the Centre and the BJP coalition in Jammu and Kashmir. He said that the setting up of departments and projects by the party is to involve the party activists to reach the maximum population and highlight the achievements of the Narendra Modi government as well as the state’s coalition.
Aseem Gupta, while terming the decision on demonetization as a path breaking step, said that people may be facing some inconvenience at the initial stage but in the long run it will benefit the common citizens. He asked the people not to get trapped in the false campaign of the Congress on demonetization. He also asked the party activists to devote time towards helping the bank customers in their transactions in the nearby branches.
Aseem Gupta also discussed the ongoing political activities being undertaken in the district and the constitution of teams of Morchas and Cells of the party in the district.
District General Secretaries Mukesh Sharma and Pawan Slathia, OBC Morcha District President Neetu Verma, Kissan Morcha District President Ravi Sharma and Mandal Presidents Babu Ram, Ashok Shrama, Ved Parkash, Kuldeep Singh and Neelkanth were prominent among those who attended the meeting.
