Bhagya Laxmi Charitable Trust launch a campaign on the pretext of “Swachh Jammu Abhiyan” at the park situated at the bank of Shakti Nagar canal, which is used for Morning and Evening walkers of the whole area. The function was inaugurated by Sh. Munish Sharma, Vice Chairman, JAKFED and Senior Leader BJP; he appreciated the cause for cleanliness of the urban city by the volunteers of the NGO. “He said that Cities are the engines of growth and urban India contribute to about 70% of country’s GDP. For cities to continue their contribution and provide quality of life to citizens, urban cleanliness is of central importance. Keeping this in mind Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Bhai Modi launched Swachh Bharat Mission to make India Open defecation free and clean by 2nd October 2019. Being a responsible citizen its our responsibilities to make every possible arrangement to fulfill this mission.
The mission was promoted by the resident and shopkeeper of the area. Large number of peoples from the area gather at the venue and helps the volunteers to clean the park and promise to make the area clean forever by using dustbin. The volunteers of the organization aware the people to make clean environment to avoid pollution at the bank and in the canal. The Chairman Mr. Ashwani Kumar Sharma said that the Mission will continue till it ends and make Jammu & Kashmir a pollution Free State. The other volunteers present at the function are Manmohan Kumar, Sachin Kumar, Manmohan Kumar, Shivender Kumar, Ashwani Dogra, Inderjeet Verma, Joginder Ji & Nitesh.
