BJP celebrates Sushasan Diwas, emphasizes Co-operative movement

Focussing the importance of Co-operative movement in the society, BJP State Cooperative Cell led by its State Convenor H. S. Pammi held an impressive function which was presided over by BJP State President & MLA Sat Sharma along with State General Secretary (Org.) Ashok Kaul, Minister of Cooperative Chering Dorjay and All Cells Incharge Varinderjit Singh on the theme of “Good Governance” on the eve of birthday of former Prime Minister, Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee, owing his aim of promotion of people’s participation in the affairs for an effective outreach of Central Government schemes to the common masses, while wishing him healthy years of life ahead.

Sat Sharma while addressing outsized gathering, stressed that the Concept of Co-operative movement was given a major boost by the great thinker and ideologue, former Prime Minister, Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee during his tenure at the prestigious office. He said that the sense of Co-operative movement coincides the core ideology BJP in his “Mool Mantra” i.e. “Sabka saath, Sabka Vikaas” where the working on the principle of “Antodaya” is emphasized while aiming all the beneficial schemes of government to the last neglected person standing in the row of cornered section of society. He also took a dig on the misdeeds of previous Congress led regimes in which whole power was Centralized in single family. He boasted that BJP is the only true Nationalistic party, which carries the message of true democracy in his heart, nurtured on the ideas of Atal ji and the carried to the top by present Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He also cited Atal ji’s work on 4-laning of National Highways, Unification of Rivers, Pokharan Blast, Sarv Shiksha Abhiyaan and others.

Ashok Kaul, while praying for the long life, drew a live life-sketch of Atal ji by his mesmerizing narration of his inspiring life experiences, the hardships Atal ji had to face in his life time of struggle for the fellow brothers and sisters of Nation. He also drew a comparison by narrating the stories of Swami Vivekananda and asked the activists to follow the footsteps of these great men, the true sons of Nation. He also went through Atalji’s role in incidences of “Praja Parishad” movement, the struggle of 1953, abolishing Permit System and all the historic occurrences leading to true unification of the border state of Jammu & Kashmir saving the “Crown of India” from the evil designs of anti- Nationalistic forces.

Chering Dorjay enlightening the gathering about the Cooperative movement and its history in the State and the Centre, threw light on the working pattern of Cooperative Movement within the society. He said that the movement has suffered a great jolt in the state due to non-transparent policies of previous governments in this regard due to vested interests. He said that the cooperative movement can further the cause of self employment generation in the state, while citing the examples of other states of Nation. He wished the Atalji for long and prosperous years ahead.

H. S. Pammi, S. Varinder jit Singh also spoke on the occasion, whereas the proceedings of stage were carried by senior leader Suresh Sharma.

Cell District Convenor Gagan Bhatia, Naresh Sharma, Narayan Dutt, Dharminder Kumar, Kapil Mahajan, Bishan Choudhary, Rajiv Gupta, Rajinder Singh Langeh and others were among the prominent persons present in the programme.
