Ahead of Diwali, BJP District Jammu West organised a Diwali Milan programme in name of “Ek Diya Shaheedon Ke Naam” at District Office Kacchi Chawni, Jammu a programme was led by District President Ayodhya Gupta.
“This Diwali, let us remember our courageous armed forces who constantly protect our Nation.
Ayodhya Gupta said that every BJP worker of Jammu West will light a at least one earthen lamp in the name of soldiers on Diwali expressing yaad, maan, samman and gaurav (in memory, honour, respect and pride) towards all defence personnel — serving, retired and martyred. This is an attempt to honour the defence personnel who are posted far away from their homes. The ones who dedicated their whole life towards protecting our motherland, and making us feel safe and secure as one nation. We, the people are indebted to their sacrifice which is honourable and precious to us.
Ayodhya Gupta also said district Jammu west also decided to make the general public aware of ‘sandesh 2 soldiers’ — a mobile app launched by PM Narendra Modi. He asked the party workers to share videos and photos on this app and encourage others to do so.
