State BJP led by its State President & MLA Sat Sharma along with State Vice-President Karan Singh, General Secretary (Org.) Ashok Kaul and other senior leaders paid rich tributes to its tall leader Ved Mankotia who breathed his last on Wednesday due to a sudden cardiac arrest.
Sat Sharma termed Ved Mankotia as the man of integrity and said that tall leader has served the party as District President and due to his continuous hard work, made sure the extension of party activities in the far flung areas while ensuring the reach of party activities and ideology to every single household in the region. Party made him the State Executive Member in the present team and also the Seh-Prabhari for the District Basohli. Sharma said that all the party workers especially in the region of Basohli must pledge to complete his pending tasks to pay him true homage. His death is personal loss not just for his family but also for the BJP family, claimed Sat Sharma.
Ashok Kaul threw light on the life of Ved Mankotia and said that the popular personality of Basohli and Bani didn’t work as political leader but purely as a social worker in difficult circumstances who always fought for the commoner’s issues. Kaul said that Mankotia’s efforts ensured the win of party in all the three assembly seats during his tenure as district President of BJP. He further prompted all the party activists to follow his footsteps.
Others who spoke on the occasion were senior leader Satish Sharma, Som Raj Khajuria, Mahila Morcha State President Purnima Sharma, Shiv Kumar and District President Baldev Singh Billawaria.
BJP State Secretary Sanjay Baru conducted stage proceedings. Two minutes of silence was also observed to pray to God Almighty to bless his soul and give the family enough strength to bear the loss.

Ashok Khajuria, Vinay Gupta, Shailja Gupta, Anuradha, Gopal Mahajan, Harbans Choudhary and others were among the prominent leaders who paid floral tributes on the portrait of Ved Mankotia.
