BJP remembers Ashfaqulla Khan

BJP Freedom Fighter & Martyrs Cell under its State Convenor Bharat Bhushan Sharma, organized a programme at Jammu in memory of great freedom fighter Ashfaqulla Khan on his 116th birth anniversary.

BJP State Vice-President Yudhvir Sethi, State Secretary Sanjay Baru, State Spokesperson Balbir Ram Rattan, Mahila Morcha District President Rekha Mahajan and other leaders laid wreaths at the portrait of Ashfaqulla Khan and paid their tributes.

Yudhvir Sethi, while speaking on the life of Ashfaqulla Khan, said that his sacrifice for the freedom of the country from the British itself proves that no religion or region is above motherland  and the present generation should follow the noble principles and path set by the people who left the luxuries of life and jumped into freedom movement. He said that the true tribute to the young martyr like Ashfaqulla Khan would be to take pledge to work towards bringing the people of all faiths and sects together to give a befitting defeat to the forces which are trying to disturb the communal harmony and disintegrate the country.

Sanjay Baru , on this occasion, said that the youth of the country is its real strength and need to be utilized for nation building. The life of Ashfaqulla Khan inspires the youth to remain prepared to make the supreme sacrifice when it comes on the honour and freedom of the motherland.  

Bharat Bhushan expressed gratitude to the party activists and the people who had assembled at party office to join the state leaders for paying tributes to Ashfaqulla Khan. A large number of Muslims also took part in the programme.

Bansi Lal Bharti, Parmod Kapahi, S.S. Bijral, Pt. Ashok Kumar Khajuria, Aqib Choudhary, Showkat Choudhary, Abid Malik, Kulbushan Mohtra, Ramesh Manhas, Rajesh Sharma, J.D. Singh, Manohar Lal, Pooja Chauhan, Surinder Kour, Surekha and others also paid their tributes.
