BJYM’s Sports Committee organize Kabbadi matches at Kathua under Khelo Bharat.

 BJYM Kathua organized Kabbadi matches under Pt. “Deen Dayal Updhayay Centary Year” at Green field Gandhi Nagar. These sports events were part of the “Khelo Bharat” mission started at National level by Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha. BJYM State President Dr. Suresh Ajay Magotra was Chief Guest on the occasion. These sports events are being organized under the supervision of BJYM State General Secretary Vikas Choudhary who is also State incharge for Sports committee. Under Khelo Bharat Mission, five local games of our country will be played across the nation namely Kabbadi, Kho-Kho, Tug-of-war, Malkhamb and Wrestling. In coming days these games will be played in all districts at mandal level. BJYM State Vice-President and Prabhari District Kathua Adv Ramneek Singh and BJYM District President Adv Vikas Gupta was also present on the occasion.

Today three matches were played and four Mandals have participated in which one team is finalized from Kathua district. The matches were played at Kanachak Higher Secondary School and were organized by BJYM District General Secretary and Incharge Sports committee Rajesh Mehta.

Speaking on the occasion Dr. Magotra said that, our party has taken the initiative to promote our local games across the country and especially those which are played mostly in rural areas. All these games will make everyone fit both physically and mentally. On the initial stages, these games has been played at Mandal level and later will be played at inter District level and finally at National level. He said present era belong to the digitization and internet, but the Youth of the country especially the teenagers have fallen on the cons side of the technology, they have forgotten than our body with the knowledge also needs physically fitness than only we can use that knowledge to give our best in our life. He further urged Youth to play these games and become the part of healthy and wealthy India.

Vikas Choudhary said that, our motto is to make these games familiar between the common masses so that it will benefit them in their day-to-day life. If we go back some 10 years back, we will realize the importance of play grounds, as that time there remains a big crowd of Youth playing games but today all those scenes are missing. He said that parents also need to look into this matter seriously so that their children cannot fall prey to the bad evils by engaging their free time elsewhere and not in sports activities.
