Development works are being continuously monitored: Kavinder Gupta

Speaker State Legislative Assembly and MLA Gandhi Nagar, Kavinder Gupta today while touring his constituency said that Gandhi Nagar is his first priority and he is regularly monitoring the development works of his constituency.

Accompanied by the officers of PWD(R&B), Rural Development Department, PHE, PDD, Irrigation and Flood Control (I&FC), Revenue and prominent social activists, the Speaker visited Nai Basti, Channi Rama, Shankar Nagar and Chatha.

The Speaker inspected the newly installed transformers and upgradation of LT/HT network in these localities. He also inspected the progress and quality of the works inaugurated by him in the recent time and directed the concerned departments to finish them within the specified time limit.

Locals appreciated the efforts put in by the speaker for redressing their problems in a time bound manner; they also expressed their gratitude for upgrading the transformers which will give them a respite from the frequent power cuts.

The Speaker held various public darbars; where people projected few demands pertaining to stadium at GadhiGarh, road connectivity from Chatha to Khandwal, Water Cooler for GHSS Bhor Camp, Deep Drain for Channi Rama.

Relying to the demands, the Speaker informed that the tenders have been floated for the blacktopping of Chatha road and the work for deep drain in Channi Rama will be taken up along with the already allotted work for remodeling of drains in the area.

Stating that the State government is committed to give every possible service to the masses, he said that it can be witnessed from the series of ongoing development works and launching of new projects in every corner of the State.

Later, several deputations from Nanak Nagar, Digiana, Shastri Nagar called upon him in his office and apprised him about the issues of their area. The Speaker assured his full support to them and called up the concerned officers and directed them to immediately solve the issues confronting these people.
