Dy CM Dr. Nirmal Singh today on the 3rd anniversary of Swachh Bharat Mission flagged off and participated in the Walkathon organised by Jammu Municipal Corporation from Town Hall to Hotel Asia Chowk .
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Nirmal Singh stressed that these efforts should not only be symbolic and we all should implement the Swachhta Abhiyaan in letter and spirit and make consistent efforts each day to make India Clean by 2019. He emphasized the need to motivate people regarding the importance of cleanliness and sanitation of their surroundings. He also asked for volunteer contribution towards cleaning of their residential areas, neighborhood and public utilities.
Among others Speaker Legislative Assembly Sh. Kavinder Gupta, MoS Smt Priya Sethi, MLA Sh.Rajesh Gupta, BJP State Vice President Sh.Yudhvir Sethi, officers of Jammu Municipal Corporation, police and civil administration were also present on the occasion.
Dy CM Dr Nirmal Singh also felicitated the artists with awards and trophies, who participated in the wall painting competition organised by JMC.
