Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) media incharge Kashmir, Altaf Thakur appealed governement to ensure free movement of media men in Kashmir on 01 September.
He said that media men have been threatened with the motive to impose blockade of information to general public, which is condemnable. “Since, Doordarshan and Radio Kashmir is the only credible means of communication and is widely listened and watched in the state, that is why some people are trying to halt it,” Thakur said, adding, stopping people for attending the duty is not justifiable.
People associated with Information Department is only meant to disseminate information and stopping them for performing their duties is highly condemnable.
