R.S Pura.M.L.A R.S Pura Dr.Gagan Bhagat visited various areas of R.S Pura Constituency including Indira Nagar,Brij Nagar, Miran Sahib, Darsopur, Maralia, Nihalpur SImbal, Kullian, Gazia, Rathana, Chak Bala, Kool Kalan, Chak Tair,Chak Jagtu, Chak Aslam, Sunderpur, Chohala,Main Baazar R.S Pura, Gazipur Kullian, Baggamarh, and Gagian where there was problem of drinking water and took stock of the situation. The Legislator who was accompanied by team of officers of Public Health Engineering, Irrigation & Flood Control (P.H.E, I & F.C) interacted with the people and assured them that the people will soon get pure drinking water, and the government is committed to it . He informed that administration has been put on to work and all measures have been put in place to get the schemes approved, the damaged motors and supply pipes will be replaced very soon, the shortage of funds which was the main reason behind the delay occurred due to the condition at Srinagar, as the Secretariat was at Srinagar, but now as the Darbar has been opened at Jammu, now it is a matter of few days, and the department will gets its due share of funds, which will be utilized for important works pending in the Constituency. Dr.Gagan Bhagat reiterated government commitment of providing good governance to the people at grass root level. Referring to the availability of potable drinking water, the Legislator said that he has recently visited many water supply schemes in the R.S Pura Constituency. He directed the concerned engineers to ensure supply of filtrated water to the people as supply of potable drinking water is the first need of human being. Earlier, M.L.A R.S Pura Dr.Gagan Bhagat convened an officers meeting at Maralia Guest House and reviewed the situation due to non availability of drinking water due to shortage of funds, and status of the Water Supply Schemes in R.S Pura Constituency, and took stock of measures put in place by the administration to combat with it. The Legislator also sought latest status of water supply in R.S Pura Town from Chief Engineer PHE and he was informed that because of damaged supply line it is partially affected which will be restored very soon. Dr.Gagan Bhagat also visited Rathana and Kool Kalan and took stock of the measures taken by the administration to combat the flood prone areas. He was also informed that a partial breach in the embankments of protection bund in Rathana has been restored. The Legislator was accompanied by Chief Engineer PHE and other concerned officers of the department, S.E Irrigation, X.E.N Ground Water, X.E.N Tube Well Irrigation, S.H.O Miran Sahib, R.S Pura, Tehsildaar R.S Pura, BJP Madal Pradhan R.S Pura & Miran Sahib, B.D.O R.S Pura and other officers of the administration.
