BJP Rajouri Organises a Special Programme to Listen To Mann Ki Baat
During the 33rd edition of the Mann Ki Baat, Hon’ble Prime Minister Narinder Modi touched upon a wide range of issues. On this occasion the BJP unit Rajouri led by its senior leader and MLC Vibodh Gupta today organized a special programme at Dak Bunglow Rajouri and together listened to the programme and latter discussed various issues raised by Prime Minister. During the radio talk Prime Minister greeted the nation on the occasion of Ramzan and Jagannath Yatra. He also greeted everyone on the occasion of EID and said that this diversity makes India a great and a unique nation. While remembering 25 June 1975 Modi talked about emergency and termed emergency as the darkest part of Indian History. He called upon everyone to strengthen the democracy and said that the emergency will always be remembered for the way in which people of India came together and safeguarded the democratic values. Once again PM laid a very special emphasis on Swatch Bharat Abhiyan and said that this is no longer restricted to Government alone but has become a mass movement. On sports PM said that children interested in sports should be encouraged to follow a career in sports. While referring to the scientific achievements of the country Modi hailed the scientists of ISRO and congratulated them for their recent successful launch of various landmark satellites. He termed the completion of one year of India’s Mars Mission as a historic achievement. In today’s Mann Ki Baat PM also highlighted the importance of Books and Khadi in our lives. He gave a new idea of presenting books to the people instead of a bouquet. He recounted the time when Queen Elizabeth showed him a Khadi handkerchief gifted to her by Mahatma Gandhi as a wedding present.
Once the talk concluded a discussion was held and while addressing the gathering BJP senior leader and MLC Vibodh Gupta termed the Mann Ki Baat Programme as a great platform where PM of India directly gets connected with the common masses. He urged upon everyone to act upon various advices given by PM during the Mann Ki Baat and be part of the nation’s journey towards growth, development and prosperity. Prominent among others who were present on the occasion included Atam Gupta, Dev Raj Sharma, Neeraj Kumar, Vikas Kumar, Vishu Chandan, Abdul Gani Shawl, Kamal Bakshi, Zahid Ahmed, Ranjeet Tara, Mohd Azam, Sanjay Sharma, Bodh Raj and Des Raj.
