Govt assures adequate relief and rehabilitation
The issue of Lightning strike at Village Dudu-Kirchi was raised in Assembly by Ranbir Singh Pathania MLA Ramnagar once the House re-assembled at 2:00 P.M., Pathania sought immediate intervention of Govt. in this matter in which five houses and a school building have been damaged and a few cattle have also perished. Some female folk have fainted due to shock.
Pathania further elaborated that Dudu is one of the far-flung area of his constituency and people living there are living in extremely miserable conditions. He called upon the govt. to provide adequate compensation immediately to the victims who have suffered losses.
It was a directive from the side of Speaker, Kavinder Gupta, that on behalf of Govt., Abdul Haq Khan, Hon’ble Minister for Panchayati Raj and Rural Development assured of all possible help and adequate relief and rehabilitation from Govt. side. He also told that district Administration of Udhampur has been directed to keenly monitoring the situation and initiate adequate and immediate relief measures into the matter.
