Ranjit Singh, State Vice-President & District Prabhari Parmodh Kapahi, State Additional Treasurer Arvind Gupta, District President Premnath Dogra, held a public darbar at Kathua in presence of Deputy Commissioner, senior officials of PHE & Flood Control, PWD, PDD and Police, where people from different areas of the district had assembled to narrate their day to day problems to the minister.
Sham Choudhary heard the people and gave on the spot instructions to the concerned officials present during the darbar to immediately solve the same and whatever has been brought into his notice, should not be heard in next darbar. He made it clear to the officials of different departments to submit to the Deputy Commissioner the details as to what actions have been taken to mitigate the sufferings of the people, which may further be communicated to him. He said that both, coalition government as well as BJP, are very much concerned for the development and welfare of the people across the state and hence the motive of holding the public darbar is to have direct interactions with the people, who may otherwise be suffering on account of non cooperative approach of some department. He said that the MLAs of their constituencies too have been highlighting the problems being faced by the people and every effort is made to ensure that different departments, which have direct public dealings, are further geared up and people are provided a friendly administration at all levels.
Sham Choudhary further said that during these days of summers, the government is particularly concerned for regular supply of drinking water and electricity and PHE and PDD officials have been putting their best to make sure that people get respite to the possible extent. He assured the people that the state’s coalition government is committed for rooting out corruption and provide good governance and the same is visible by the working of the government. “Wiping the tears of the sufferers and reach every nook and corner with a sole motive of extending the benefits of the welfare schemes to farmers, youth, women, border people and down trodden is the resolve of our government” Choudhary said and made it clear that no leniency will be tolerated in matters related to solving the problems of the people.
