BJP State President Sat Sharma CA, in presence of State General Secretary (Org.) Ashok Kaul and State Vice President Karan Singh, handed over appointment letters as Monitors in Kissan Channel of Doordarshan.
Sat Sharma, while handing over these appointment letters, said that the Prasar Bharti has appointed them as Honorary Channel Monitors for the Kisan Channel Doordarshan. He said that at the behest of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, this channel being launched is dedicated to the farmers, artisans, landless farm labourers and the rural population of the country. This niche channel would be 24×7 Hindi Channel which will emphasize on new agriculture technology, innovation in water management for crops etc and to improve yield and economic conditions of the farmers and others in rural India.
Various rural development schemes/projects of the government, skill training and education for gainfully engaging the youth in rural areas, so that they become independent entrepreneurs and specialized in different sectors, would be disseminated through the channel. Besides, these the channel would also highlight culture, folk songs, ayurveda, yoga and other entertainment aspects.
These monitors will help in providing regular feedback on the channel in fulfilling the dreams of the government and specially Prime Minister in this noble endeavour to transform the rural sector. He asked each of the monitor to enroll 25 associates in their respective district belonging to farming community for further reaching the farmers.
