BJP State President & MLA Sat Sharma (C.A.), alongwith Jammu East MLA Rajesh Gupta and senior officials of Jammu Municipal Corporation, visited Shanti Ghat cremation ground in Shakti Nagar and inspected various developmental works which are in progress there.
Sat Sharma, as MLA of the area, has initiated works like construction of water tank, erecting pre-fabricated sheds, construction of sitting steps of Kota stone, interlocking paved tiles on the passage and courtyard, up gradation of the park by way of spreading wood earth and small gates for entrance in the park for the convenience of the people in the cremation ground. Funds to the time of rupees 22 lakh has already been made available to the JMC for these works.
Sat Sharma, while stressing on early completion of the works, directed the executing agency authorities to strictly ensure quality work and regular inspection of each work. He said that since a cremation ground is a place to be used for the public, it need to have all the required facilities in its premises. He said that the funds should not come any obstacle in providing facilities and if needed more funds will be released.
