Inserting his best to provide basic amenities at every nook and corner of Jammu West, State President BJP and MLA Sat Sharma (CA) kickstarted numerous developmental works at Basant Nagar area of Ward 38 behind Jaggi Darbar and also sanctioned a new transformer of 250 KVA from his CDF (Constituency Development Fund) for the area. Accompanied by a large number of persons, Sharma started the works in the presence of JMC (Jammu Municipal Corporation) officials, local residents and political activists of the area.
The works will be done under the supervision of JMC at an estimated cost of Rupees 3.75 lakhs and couple of lanes will be constructed under the same which also includes repair and renovation of the lanes and drains in the area and the amount for transformer sanctioned will be met through the fund of MLA which costs Rupees 5 lakhs approximately.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that it is indeed a great step on behalf of the JMC Commissioner and its officials as well who are looking into the grievances of the public seriously and giving an immediate redressal as well which is proving very helpful in providing basic amenities to the residents of Jammu West at their doorsteps.
He said that Jammu West has now stepped on the path of progress which will take it to new heights in the coming time and he assured the masses that under his tenure, the Constituency will bloom in terms of development and that day is not far enough when the example of Jammu West will be given under the setup of model Constituencies of Jammu and Kashmir.
He also stated that the works pertaining to rest of the departments including ERA, PWD (R&B), PDD, PHE, Social Welfare and other departments are running at a very good pace and it is his try to cover every person under the aspect, so that the residents of Jammu West are provided with the best infrastructure possible.
He also appealed the masses to contribute some time in promoting the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi so that a clean and green nation could be built under the same.
