Speaker J&K Legislative Assembly and MLA Gandhi Nagar, Kavinder Gupta convened a public grievances redressal camp at Sector 14, Ward no 44 Nanak Nagar to listen and address people’s concerns and issues.
Various local delegations met up the Speaker and put forth their demands including augmentation of water supply, improvement of power infrastructure, upgrading of roads, medicare facilities and among others.
Responding to the demands, the Speaker directed the concerned officers to make all-out efforts to mitigate the sufferings of the people.
He informed the people that various up gradation works are in pipeline and will be initiated soon.
The Speaker also stressed for close coordination and synergy among various departments and the general public so that the genuine demands of the people can be addressed in a stipulated time frame. He also directed the concerned departments to furnish details of requirements for upgrading the public infrastructure, where ever need is felt.
Describing public participation essential for better development, the Speaker asked the people to coordinate with the administration and personally monitor the development works being executed in their respective areas.
The Speaker asked people to come forward and avail maximum benefits of various central as well as state welfare schemes and programmes. “The schemes offered by different departments have tremendous potential of changing the socio-economic profile of the people”, he added.
Many locals including youth of Nanak Nagar area joined Bhartiya Janta Party in presence of Speaker Kavinder Gupta and BJP Gandhi Nagar Mandal President Ankush Gupta. The program was organized by team BJP Gandhi Nagar Mandal.
