Calls for Remembrance of Sacrifices Made by Our Freedom Fighters
As part of the countrywide fortnight programmes on “Azaadi 70” BJP senior leader and MLC Vibodh Gupta today inaugurated a impressive programme at Maanpur in Nowshera. A large number of local people from different sections of the society participated in the programme with great enthusiasm. Addressing the gathering Vibodh said that our great nation is completing 70 years of Independence on 15th of August 2016 and this is a time for celebration. He informed the gathering that in order to celebrate this occasion a large number of programmes are being organized across the country during current fortnight. He further added that since these programmes have been given the theme of “Yaad Karo Qurbani” so it becomes the responsibility of every citizen of this country to remember the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters. He congratulated the people of Maanpur for showing proactiveness in organizing such a impressive programme. Giving reference of great sacrifices made by our great leaders who led the freedom fight, Vibodh said that presently we are enjoying freedom because of those leaders and everyone should be grateful to them. He said that the greatest tribute to these leaders in the present circumstance is to remain united and to make every effort for maintaining peace and harmony. This he said will take us towards making India the most powerful nation of the world. A large number of local people including Mool Raj, Joginder Singh, Vishal Gupta and Ripu Kohli also addressed the gathering. In their address the local people threw light on the lives of various freedom fighters and urged everyone to ensure that we carryforward the great legacy left behind by our visionary leaders. Latter the local people thanked MLC Vibodh Gupta for coming to their area and for listening to various problems of the locals. After the concluding session of the programme MLC Vibodh called upon everyone to organize more such programmes during the coming two weeks and ensure participation of everyone from various sections of the society. He assured the prominent senior citizens present on the occasion that he will takeup their genuine demands with the concerned ministers in the state cabinet for their early resolution.
