To mark successful completion of two years of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan on Gandhi Jayanti, Vice-President Yudhvir Sethi launched a special Swachhta campaign in Prem Nagar, Ward No. 7, here today.
The Resident welfare association of the area had organised a special program on the day near Jangam Mandir and Yudhvir Sethi was chief guest on the occasion.
Appreciating the role played by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to initiate the mission on Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti, Yudhvir called upon the society to join hands in making the Abhiyan a grand success. He said the mission launched by the Prime Minister should reach every nook and corner of the country and everybody should work towards making India clean.
“Our aim is to start the Swachhta Abhiyan from our homes and take it to our streets, towns and surroundings, as real tribute to Gandhi Ji would be when we follow his mission of clean surroundings,” he added.
Scores of people joined the campaign and prominent among those were Bansi Lal Bharti Sr Bjp Leader, Govind Sareen Bjp Leader, Anil Masoom, Romesh, Bittu, Pinky, Vipul and other residents of the area.
