Bali reviews availability of medicines, other facilities in hospitals

Minister for Health and Medical Education, Bali Bhagat today chaired a high level meeting of officers of Health Department and reviewed the availability of medicine and other medical supplies in hospitals across the Valley. Minister of State for Health and Medical Education, Asiea Naqash was also present in the meeting. Addressing the meeting, the Minister directed the concerned for extending every possible medicare to the injured for their early recovery. He directed the concerned for ensuring free supply of medicines to the patients. He said that the team of senior ophthalmologists from AIIMS, which is on tour of Valley, expressed satisfaction over the healthcare facilities being provided to the injured persons. The Minister said that there is no shortage of medicines and other surgical appliances in the hospitals. He informed that the department has organized blood donation camps in District and SubDistrict Hospitals and collected about 300 blood points. The Minister also called upon the authorities for ensuring cleanliness and sanitation in the hospital premises, saying that there should be no compromise in this regard. Among others, Commissioner Secretary, Health and Medical Education, M K Bhandari, Director, SKIMS, Soura, Principal, SKIMS Medical College, Bemina, Medical Superintendent, Bones and Joints Hospital, Srinagar, Medical Superintendent, SMHS, Srinagar and HOD’s of various hospitals attended the meeting.
