BJP State President & MLA Sat Sharma, while chairing a programme organized in connection with National Unity Day on the birth anniversary of Iron man of India Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel, undertook Swachh Bharat Abhiyan along with Jammu West District President Ayodhya Gupta in Devi Chand Municipal Park in Rehari Colony.
Sat Sharma, while speaking on the life of Sardar Patel, said that he was one of the most visionary leader who played pivotal role in bringing more than 560 small and big princely and independent states under the Union of India when India got freedom from the British. He said that Sardar Patel always remained strict towards implementing the decisions taken and hence earned the distinction of being called the Iron Man.
Speaking on the significance of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Sat Sharma said that it is a nation-wide campaign launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to make people aware about the need and importance of keeping our houses, surroundings and work places neat and clean so that a hygienic environment is available, which has many benefits. He said that every citizen should contribute in maintaining cleanliness and also educate the people about it. He said that PM Modi has taken initiative of fulfilling the dream of Mahatma Gandhi, who wanted India to be a neat and clean country.
Ayodhya Gupta, on this occasion, said that the people are appreciating the noble cause undertaken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and it becomes duty of each one of us to work towards bringing change in the mind set of people and stress upon them to be part of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
BJP leaders including Arun Chibber, Prem Gupta, Sanjeev Sharma, Puneet Gupta, Parneesh Mahajan, Vijay Sharma, Balbir Gupta, Raveesh Mengi, Onkar Bose, Munish Raja, Atul Bakshi, Sanjay Sawhney, Jai Singh, Ravi Gupta and Romesh Khajuria also took part in the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
