The Jammu & Kashmir BJP Mahila Morcha state office bearers under the leadership of Morcha State President Purnima Sharma visited Shakti Nagar Branch of State Bank of India and interacted with the bank customers to know about the problems being faced by them while their transactions. They also talked with the Bank Manager and the members of the staff and enquired about the ongoing transactions related to exchange and depositing of old currency notes of rupees 500 and rupees 1000 denominations, withdrawal through ATMs. The bank officials told the Mahila Morcha team that the bank employees and even the bank’s retired employees have also been engaged for the noble cause to contribute in early transactions so that the account holders are not made to suffer.
Purnima Sharma, while speaking to the customers in the premises of the bank, said that there is no need to panic, there may be some problems for few days but as the cautious citizens each one of us has to contribute in making the mission of wiping out corruption and unearth black money in a successful manner. She said that the people should not fall prey to the misinformation campaign launched by opposition parties to create confusions in the minds of the common and law abiding citizens. She also stressed upon the bank staff to cooperate the customers in their matters related to the transactions of the currency.
