The Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh kick started sanitation campaign “Swachhta Hi Sewa” at river Tawi on the occasion of 3rd anniversary of Swachh Bharat Mission, organised by Jammu Municipal Corporation in collaboration district administration Jammu.
Legislator Rajesh Gupta, Divisional Commissioner Jammu MK Bhandari, Commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation, M.Raju, Deputy Commissioner Jammu Kumar Rajeev Ranjan were also present on the occassion.
The aim of the campaign is to reinforce the concept of ‘sanitation is everyone’s business’, re-energize Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and to intensify focus on cleanliness and create an environment of cleanliness across in the spirit of a mass participation.
The Deputy CM stressed upon involving locals, students, prominent citizens and other representatives of the society in this 17-day campaign that will culminate on Gandhi Jayanti.
