Government committed to improve road connectivity in the State: Kavinder Gupta

Speaker J&K assembly and MLA, Gandhi Nagar, kavinder Gupta toured different areas of his constituency and inaugurated various development works.
He was accompanied by the SDM, South, Sonu Pargal; BDO, Satwari, A K Khajuria; X-En, PWD(R&B), Mohammad Abdullah; AEE, PWD(R&B), Manoj Kumar; Baldev Billoria, Vinay Gupta, Harbans Chowdhary, Balwant Singh, Raj Rani, Pitamber Sharma, Shallu Gupta, Ramesh Kumar, Sippy, Bharat Sharma, Jyoti Parkash, Rakesh Sangral and other prominent social & political activists.
The Speaker inaugurated the up gradation of lane and drain at Shanti vihar, Kunjwani and the funds for the same have been provided from his constituency development fund and the work will be executed under the supervision of rural development department.
He also laid the foundation stone for the blacktopping of Chatha- SKAUST road and reiterated that government has taken up several projects to improve road network in all parts of the state which holds the key to socio economic development of the area.
He said while kick starting the blacktopping work of road that around Rs 5 crore have been earmarked for the development of road network in the Satwari block and the PWD(R&B) department have been directed to complete this work in a stipulated time frame and the quality should not be compromised at any cost.
Terming it as very unfortunate the previous congress led government has ignored this area for the one or other reasons and only big claims of development were made, the quality of works during the present regime can be measured from the fact that the blacktopping works are being carried out with a guaranty rider of three years.
While addressing the functions at these places, he said that few people are engaged in misguiding the innocent people regarding various development projects and their execution, it should be clear in everyone’s mind that all the development related works are being planned and carried out only on the direction of the government and if anyone has any grievance; he can directly come to his Gandhi Nagar office for its redressal, he added.
Residents of the area lauded the approach and efforts of their legislator for addressing the core issues of the common masses with sincerity and dedication, Gupta informed that a comprehensive plan has been formulated for up gradation and expansion of basic
facilities to provide all infrastructural facilities to the people of Gandhi Nagar and sought their cooperation in implementing the development programs at the ground level.
