BJP National Vice-President, former MP (Rajya Sabha) & Indian Red Cross Society National Vice-Chairman, Avinash Rai Khanna, will lead the party activists of Kashmir valley in celebrating the Foundation Day on April 6. He will be reaching Jammu by train on early hours of April 6 and later proceed to Srinagar by air.
Avinash Rai Khanna, who will reach Srinagar to lead the party senior leaders, State Office Bearers, Presidents of Morchas and District Presidents to celebrate the Foundation Day, said that “April 6 carries great significance for the BJP as it was on this day in 1980 when a new political party came into existence and has achieved the distinction of being world’s largest party within a period of just 36 years. It is the only party which has rooted out country’s oldest political party, the Congress and is in power at the Centre as well as in 16 states of India. On the one hand, the hard work of its cadre, people and nation-centric ideology of the party has earned the title of being called a party with a difference, on the other hand, leaders like Atal Behari Vajpayee, Narendra Modi, after becoming Prime Ministers, strengthened the faith of the people in political party and the government. We have to reach the masses and educate them about the need to further strengthen BJP as it is the only political party which has commitment to serve all the sections of the society without any discrimination on the basis of region or religion.
Khanna said that like other parts of the country, the BJP has achieved great success in Jammu & Kashmir and its position is getting further strong in valley with each passing day. Celebrating the foundation day in a big way in Kashmir will further deepen the roots of the party in every nook and corner of valley.
Avinash Rai Khanna further said that during his stay at Srinagar, he will also hold meetings with the party leaders of Kashmir in view of the forthcoming bi- election of two seats of Lok Sabha and also seek their suggestions on going to public and mobilize the voters in favour of the PDP candidates so that Congress and NC are defeated.
