Make people aware of welfare schemes: Priya Sethi

Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) Mohila Morcha of district Jammu holds District Working Committee Meeting here at Jammu which was attended by almost all members of Mahila Morch and Minister of State for Education, Technical Education, Culture, Tourism, Department of Horticulture, Floriculture and Parks Priya Sethi

Priya Sethi, while speaking to morcha, said that several women central welfare schemes launched both by state as well as central government are enhancing dignity of women folk and providing fellow citizens equal opportunities to live with honour.

Speaking on the occasion, Priya Sethi said this is for the first time in the history of India that women are being treated well and instead of considering them as mere vote banks provided with ample opportunities to live an honorable life. She further added that More than one crore women have so far been benefited from the Narendra Modi government’s Mudra scheme that facilitates enterprises in the unorganised sector.

The NDA government, she added completes three years in office and Mudra Yojna is one of the Modi government’s flagship schemes to benefit the poorer sections, alongside the Jan Dhan Yojna, the crop insurance for farmers, health insurance and accident insurance schemes. These schemes, she said is pro-poor and pro-farmer and have been welcomed by all. Similarly in J&K State the coalition government launched various schemes like city bus service for women, building exclusive women toilets and to setting up of two Entrepreneur Development Centres to help, guide and train aspiring women entrepreneurs. These schemes she added are all aimed at making women self reliant.

Referring to free education for girl students up to class twelfth, setting up of women police stations besides starting special buses for women and then handing over two-wheelers to college girls by the state government Priya Sethi added had fulfilled coalition government’s promises to give priorities to women. The education minister asserted that during past three years both state as well as central government has placed trust in each and every citizen and empowered them to touch new heights with all those schemes aimed at helping different sections of society.

Priya Sethi urged women folk and other party workers and leaders to take programmes and policies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi government at the Centre to masses. Projects like Soil Health Card Scheme, Swatchh Bharat Abhiyan, Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana, Integrated Ganga Conservation Mission, Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao Yojana, Digital India Programme, Housing for All By 2022 and Atal Pension Yojna are all helping people live an honourable life and we all must assure that these schemes reach the real beneficiaries.

Mahila Morcha State President Poornima Sharma, in her address, lauded the efforts of Mohila Morcha and said that we all have to work hard to reach the common masses. She resolved that women folk of BJP Mahila Morcha will leave no stone unturned to make people aware of these schemes so that the real beneficiaries and provided with all kind of help to live a dignified life.

Jammu District President Rekha Mahajan, in her address, said that coalition government in J&K state has launched special schemes for women entrepreneurs and the same must be utilized for setting up units. She said that government intends to make women independent for which every possible effort is being made by the government and schemes launched. All we need to do is utilize the schemes and empower women, she added.

BJP State Secretary Anuradha Charak, District General Secretary Vinay Gupta also spoke on the occasion. The entire programme was able conducted by District General Secretary Savita Anand. Senior leader Kiran Salathia, Mahila Morcha State General Secretary Sanjita Dogra, State Vice President Monika Khosla, State Secretary Neeru Anand, District Prabhari Parveen Arora, Sangeta Anand, Vice Presidents Manju Dogra, Veena Bakshi, Pinki Gupta, Geeta Bassa, Secretaries Pooja Chouhan, Reva Massoom, Kailash Sharma, Kiran Aggarwal, Media Incharge Rinki Gupta, Office Secretary Surinder Kour, Sharda Gupta, Saroj ji, Darshana Sharma, Surekha Devi, Vandana Tehran and other members of the team were also present on the occasion.
