‘Renovated Kaleeth Park gets Multi Play Station’
Minister of State for Education, Technical Education, Culture, Tourism, Priya Sethi said that Outdoor playing is must for mental as well as physical growth of children. Parents must encourage their wards for outdoor activities which not only help in their physical growth but mentally also children become strong.
Priys Sethi was speaking after dedicating completely renovated Mohalla Kaleeth Park in Ward Number 15 where Multi Play Station was also dedicated to general public and especially children. She said that this Multi Play Station has been installed on the request of local population and parents whose children had no proper ground to play. These swings, slides and sea-saws will help children adopt outdoor activities and interact with each other as well. Sodium lights, waling track, grill work and boundary wall were also repaired and renovated for the convenience of people and beautification of park.
She was accompanied by women wing of BJP and local residents besides officials of Jammu Municipal Corporation. She assured the gathering that once parking at Bus Stand will be also completing the parking issues of people and traders of Mohalla Kaleeth will also be solved. Ashwani Gupta President Rastryavadi Shiv Sena, Rajesh Raina President Hari Market Association, Gian Sharma President New Hari Market Association, Rajesh Dewan President Lower Hari Market Association, Kartar Mahajan President Lakhdata Bazer Association and Gulshan Mahajan were also present.
Priya Sethi said that children learn their most important lessons on the playground, not in the classroom. Play allows children to use their creativity while developing their imagination, dexterity, and physical, cognitive, and emotional strength. She added that playing also allows children to create and explore a world they can master, conquering their fears while practicing adult roles, sometimes in conjunction with other children or adult caregivers.
“Getting your kids to play outside isn’t just fun but it’s good for them as it improved their vision, promotes social skills, increases attention span and reduces stress”, Priya Sethi informed and urged parents to stay with their kids as guide while they play outside. She also assured that more civil works are in offing to improve the facilities in Mohalla Kaleeth Park which will be taken up in near future. Work on fountain in the park, she said is also going on and will be made functional soon.
