Charging the previous governments in the state responsible for making people to suffer on account of poor quality works in matters related to development projects, BJP State Secretary Sanjay Baru said that the present BJP coalition government is committed to eradicate corruption and ensure quality work. He expressed these view while inspecting the damaged bunds of an irrigation channel in Kabir Colony area of Talab Tillo falling in Jammu West Assembly Constituency.
The local people, who had assembled near the said damaged irrigation channel, told the BJP leader that just 3 years ago this bund was erected to safeguard the houses and properties of the people living on its banks but unfortunately it got washed away within one year and during every monsoon, major portion gets damaged from one side or the other. It poses threat to the safety of the local population. They alleged that Irrigation & Food Control Department officials did not keep check on the quality of material while the bunds were constructed.
Sanjay Baru said that it is not the only case where people have grievances related to the poor quality of development works. He told them that the matter has also been brought into the notice of the BJP MLA Sat Sharma, who has assured to come forward to help the people by getting the damaged work repaired properly with quality work.
