Overwhelming response by the People, inaugurated several projects. In his ongoing efforts to redress public grievances at their doorstep.
Sunil Kumar Sharma today held a public grievance camp at Paddar, Kishtwar.
In an open interaction with the MOS, people of the area put forth various demands with respect to the supply of sufficient amount of clear drinking water, repair of electric lines and uninterrupted power, black topping of the roads, sanctioning of degree college for the area besides a number of other genuine problems. Responding to the demands Sharma directed the concerned officers to take immediate actions with concrete output under intimation to the Minster.
Speaking on the occasion MOS informed the gathering that a Model Degree college for padder has already been approved by the state government and work will commence shortly once the funds are released. Moreover to reduce unemployment of the people to some extent, a special Recruitment Rally has been approved by the ministry of defence for the people of Padder.
To cater the electric needs of people of the area, 4 MW mini Hydro Electric project at Hanswar Nallah has been approved by the government and work on the project is going to start soon.
Tendering process for another Hydro Electric Project at Kerthaie has also been done. In addition Rs 224 lakhs have also been sanctioned by the government for the construction of Power receiving station which will be inaugurated by the last week of August.
Addressing the gathering over connectivity of the area, Mr Sharma said that all the villages adjoining the Padder area will be connected with road networks shortly by PMGSY as the Centre government have sanctioned Rs 2800 crores under 10th phase of PMGSY for the whole state of J&K.
Referring to the connectivity of the people via cellular networks, he informed the public that a very high frequency tower will be installed at Tehsil Machail and that would be a
“Dream Come True Project” for each and every one as the Famous Holy Darbar of Machail Maata, where pilgrims not from within the state even from outside are increasing year by year and it will be a lifeline for them to remain in touch with the rest of the world during Yatra.
The supply material for the tower has already reached the spot and after its due assembling, shall be inaugurated on August 1st 2016.
Later on Sunil Sharma inaugurated the newly constructed Panchayat Ghar at Kundal and Afani Panchayat. And foot bridge of Afaani Nallah.
Sunil Sharma was accompanied by DDC Kishtwar G.N. Balwan, SSP Kishtwar Sandeep Wazir, ACD Kishtwar Garbi Rashid Dar, DPO kishtwar Pardeep Kumar and other District and Sectoral Officers.
