We take pledge for cleanliness : Rekha Mahajan

BJP Mahila Morcha (BJPMM) Jammu District team under its District President Rekha Mahajan organised a cleanliness drive in Trikuta Nagar area of Gandhi Nagar Assembly constituency on the completion of 2nd year of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.

On this occasion, Rekha Mahajan, said that ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ is a campaign launched by our Prime Minister Narendra Modi especially on the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, who dreamt of an India which was not only free but also clean and developed. As Mahatma Gandhi secured freedom for Mother India and now it is our duty to ensure that our country also get freedom from dirt, pollution and unhygienic environment by adopting the habits of maintaining cleanliness.

Rekha Mahajan said that It is totally social, non-political campaign  inspired by patriotism. It is launched as a responsibility of each and every citizen to make India neat and clean (Swachh) country. This campaign has also induced awareness among the people towards the cleanliness. It is a big challenge for all the citizens of India and can be successful only if each and every person living in India understands the importance and motive of the campaign and join hands to make it a mass movement. She said it is a most famous proverb that “Cleanliness is next to Godliness” and each one of us should also keep it in mind while undertake cleanliness drive or educate others about it.

On this occasion, Rekha Mahajan and other leaders of her District team declared to take pledge for cleanliness adding that  “Na Gandagi karenge, Na Gandagi Karne Denge”.

Neeru Anand, Morcha State Secretary, Savita Anand, District General Secretary, Inderjeet Kour and Veena Bakshi District Vice-Presidents, Surinder Kour, Geeta Basa, Saroj, Sharda, Surekha, Sanjana and other Morcha activistswere also present on the occasion.
