Indian Art Centre has organized Painting Exhibition and Prize Distribution in the premises of Govt. Women College Gandhi Nagar Jammu. The Chief Guest on the day was Ch. Lal Singh Honb’le Minister For Forest & Environment J&K & Chief Patron OF Indian Art Centre, Guest of Honours were Dr. Kiran Bakshi Principal GCW Gandinagar, Ajay Pargal Senior Leader BJP, Vinay Gupta District Vice President BJP Jammu, Ishant Gupta State Secretary BJP Youth & Rekha Mahajan District President BJP Mahilla Morcha. The organizers of exhibition were Poonam Bhalgotra chief organizer, & M.K. Wadhera. Speaking on the occasion, Ch. Lal Singh congratulated M.K. Wadhera for his very good initiative to promote and teach students about Basohli art. He added that these types of talent will be promoted on higher scales. Ch. Lal Singh Said artist is the one who always work to live the historic things in his art. Lal Singh interacts with the students & appreciate them, he also have a look to the beautiful paintings made by them & distribute prizes among those students. Ch. Lal Singh added that Indian Art Centre is promoting and popularizing Jammu Dogra Art & Culture, apart from this the centre is developing & propagating the world famous Indian Miniature art in the state of J&K. M.K. Wadhera said that he used to teach all the students about how to make paintings. He added that Ch. Lal Singh is the Chief patron of Indian Art Centre and he thanked him for his support to promote the art. He said more than 15 schools participated and Indian Art Centre is giving 150 students Art Free of Cost with material, he also added that prizes distributed among 300 students. Wadhera also thanked principal of college for providing premises for the exhibition. Other prominent who present were Rameshwar Principal Shiksha Niketan Hr. Sec. School, Vivek Phonsa Asst.
